NORTH EASTERN AREA IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
The North Eastern Area committee have decided to prohibit the use of smoke systems on model aircraft flown at Albemarle Barracks; this was decided during the meeting dated February 7th 2007. The reason being that army personnel watching a model using a smoke system thought it was on fire, and almost initiated a fire alert. We have an excellent relationship with the army at Albemarle which we are keen to keep, so full compliance with this would be appreciated; unfortunately this rule also includes the Geordie Nats on 9th September 2007.
For any more information on either the Geordie Nats or on booking Albemarle for a club event, which the area now subsidise, please contact Mr Terry Bailey FSMAE on 07887 846078 or 0191 5490064
