| Cambridge Model Aircraft Club was formed in the 1940's and is an active club. It is made up of a group of very helpful and friendly individuals. We have an airfield with the use of hard surface landing strip with grass area to one side. There is a caravan on site where the usual facilities can be found. Local camping sites are available for visitors and flying tuition given using a buddy box. | Established in 1936 we are reputedly the oldest model flying club in the UK currently flying at two sites, one located at Stapleford Tawney in Essex, the other on Chingford Plain on the outskirts of North London.Our members fly primarily fixed-wing models, and we are fortunate to have a two BMFA examiners as well as an extraordinary depth of experience in the design and construction of model aircraft.
