Hedgehoppers Model Flying Club

| Hedgehoppers Model Flying Club was formed by a small group of modellers in 1995. We fly mainly fixed wing, radio control, internal combustion powered models. However there are a growing number of helicopters appearing at the flying site. Recently one or two members have begun experimenting with electric flight. The Flying Club site is located on the outskirts of Shalford, Essex. Membership has a self imposed limit of thirty members, twenty senior and ten junior. Membership is taken from a broad cross section of the local community and covers an age range of seven to seventy plus. HMFC has two BMFA Approved Club Instructors, one BMFA Registered Club Instructor and two resident BMFA Examiners.

| Helipad Model Club is, as the name sugests, a helicopter only club situated in central Southern England. We are a small club specialising in scale helis, although all types are flown on a regular basis. We cater for all levels of ability and tuition is given freely by registered club instructors. Flying is mainly Sunday mornings from a private school playing field.

| Our club is one of the longest established and largest in the south of England, with some 180 members. We have two flying sites which caters for all aspects of Radio Control flying. We are affiliated to the BMFA, and embrace their training scheme wholeheartedly, with plenty of excellent instructors and a band of dedicated BMFA examiners. We encourage new members and offer comprehensive training to get them through those difficult first flights. The club holds monthly evening meetings with guest speakers and events linked to aviation. The monthly newsletter keeps everyone in touch with club news, competitions and modeling attractions around the area. We are committed to providing an active club with a good atmosphere, promoting the hobby and encouraging competent pilots to fly in a safe and enjoyable manner.

| High Peak Model Aero Club has a membership with an age range of 11 to 70+, drawn from a radius of about 20 miles around Buxton in Derbyshire. We build and fly powered, fixed wing planes, powered helicopters and gliders (either powered or towed) at a site to the West of Buxton, within the Peak National Park. We also have access to a number of slope soaring sites in the area for members to use for silent glider flight.The Club is affiliated to the British Model Flying Association.

| Formed in 1946, HDMAC have a membership of around 120 people of all ages from a wide area. In 1989 we purchased our own Club Field known as The Whams, situated in open country, available for use at any time by our Members. We also have sole private use of a superb Slope Soaring Site and School Playing Fields for Electric and Thermal Soaring. During the Winter period we meet once a month for Talks etc. and conviviality at premises near to the Town centre.

| HMAC is a small and friendly club flying from two sites just outside Chippenham in Wiltshire. Disciplines flown are Power Fixed Wing, Helicopters and Silent Flight. Comprehensive training by experienced BMFA Registered Instructors and Examiners is available for beginners to the hobby. All training is based closely on the BMFA 'Up and Away' manual and Achievement Scheme. Usually there is a waiting list for prospective membership to this popular club. The Club has several Model flying sites, and types of Models include, Radio Control, Gliders, Power, Helicopters& Control line. | Located on the Border of the Lake District National Park in the Lyth Valley near Kendal. Our Flying Field is surrounded by beautiful scenery. Nearby is a slope for Gliding and Soaring. With approximately 70 members all types of flying are catered for; gliders, sport, scale, pattern, electric, helicopters and free flight including Float at Lake Windermere.
