F1D World Champs Team selected.
The three F1D flyers making up the GBR Team going to Belgrade this August will be Bob Bailey, Mark Benns and Derek Richards, with Geoff Lefever 1st reserve. ITC voted Nick Aikman as Team Manager.
Two of the Trials selection events were held in a low ceiling sports hall, proving that it’s possible to get good times and performances from these models without a huge space to fly in.
These indoor duration modellers will fly their fragile 1.2 gram rubber powered free flight models for team and individual medals in a huge trade fair building 100 feet high in Serbia. Single flight times are expected to be well over 30 minutes.
Why not build a Gyminnie Cricket rubber powered indoor model? and have a go at duration flying too.

The Challenge is gaining momentum with plenty of interest received from individuals and the Teams. So hurry and join us soon.
Corrections to FF events in BMFA NEWS Calendar (Issue No.87)
Please note that the current BMFA News Calendar (Issue No.87 - April 2008) has some errors in it that affect FF events in the the near future. The previous edition (No.86 - February08) was correct…
1. The current, incorrect, calendar shows “Classic Rubber” at the 2nd Area Centralised Meeting. This should be “Mini Vintage”.
2. The Stonehenge Cup meeting shows classes “F1A, F1B, F1C, F1Q”. This should be F1A, F1B, F1C/P, F1Q.
3. The list of Nationals classes in the calendar shows a “Vol-au-Vent” Junior event. This is incorrect. The event is the “Novice Rubber/Glider Event” and is a combined event for Vol-au-vent Gliders and P20 Rubber models.
