DATES FOR 2010 F2 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, HUNGARY
The latest dates that I have from the organisers of the 2010 F2 World Championships in Hungary are 23rd – 31st July 2010. However, please be aware that the organiser is at liberty to change the dates up until December 2009. I don’t think they will but one never knows.
Malcolm Rawlings
I deeply regret to report the death of Malcolm Rawlings at the age of 71 years on the 30th July. Malcolm was an engineer, apprenticed at Morris Motors Oxford. He started his own garage business in 1966 which he ran for 21 years. on retirement he was able to devote all his time to his great interest, model aircraft. He joined the Exeter & District RC Club and served from 1991 for 5 years as Chairman and later in 2000 for a further 4 years. He became President in 2004. Malcolm was a popular leader who put EDRC on the map with excellent events open to other clubs. Malcolm’s wife was a familiar figure on the flying field and the club ran smoothly and efficiently. He is sorely missed by us all.

Roy Phillips 1931-2009
It is with great sadness that we must report the passing of Roy after a brief illness. A lifelong Aeromodeller and member of Portsmouth Club and, more recently, Petersfield Club. All his models showed the highest levels of craftsmanship and innovation and were admired by all.
Roy was an Engineer of note and for many years was Works Manager at M.T.Engineering and also ran his own company later in his career.
Always ready with help, advice and support to both learners and old hands alike his wise counsel will be sorely missed by his club mates.
