Malcolm Rawlings
I deeply regret to report the death of Malcolm Rawlings at the age of 71 years on the 30th July. Malcolm was an engineer, apprenticed at Morris Motors Oxford. He started his own garage business in 1966 which he ran for 21 years. on retirement he was able to devote all his time to his great interest, model aircraft. He joined the Exeter & District RC Club and served from 1991 for 5 years as Chairman and later in 2000 for a further 4 years. He became President in 2004. Malcolm was a popular leader who put EDRC on the map with excellent events open to other clubs. Malcolm’s wife was a familiar figure on the flying field and the club ran smoothly and efficiently. He is sorely missed by us all.
