Sep. 23rd – 840 engines to be auctioned at Nottingham

It’s remarkable that the engines in this collection by Professor Doug Walton are all different. Many are variations of the same make and type, for example there are ten AMs and even 49 EDs but the majority are one-off outstanding examples from sources all over the world. In addition, there are over forty flying models in Doug‘s impressive collection.
All are to be auctioned on September 23rd by Mellors and Kirk of Gregory Street Nottingham.
To contain the large number of individual engines within the limited timescale of a one day auction they are to be sold in 232 Lots. The engines are to be grouped by Nationality, size or type.
Collectors will find many desirable gems when the catalogue is established on the website, www.mellorsandkirk.com , ranging from miniatures of 0.2cc capacity up to fixed head 10cc diesels, famous American 10cc racing engines of the late forties and many one-off examples by well known specialists. Few of them are throttle equipped for R/C.
Mellors and Kirk are located to the West of Nottingham City Centre, five minutes from the railway station and 20 minutes from East Midlands Airport. Precise location can be viewed on their website. The Email link is enquiries@mellorsandkirk.com
